And now the moment we've all been waiting for! In the unlikely event that we need to go to the tie-breaker, the tiebreaking rules (only on the CFP championship game) are as follows: 1. Right winner, 2. Right runner-up, 3. Closest aggregate score via Todd's methodology. Other rules for the Bash are the same as last year. Each week you won during the year gets you a starting score of that many points. Most games are worth 1 point each. New Year's Six minus the playoffs count as 2 points. Playoffs are 4 points, championship is worth 8 points. You will get half points on the championship game if you have the correct winner but incorrect loser. The total points will determine if we need to go to the tie-breaker or not. There are 59 total points that could be acquired in the highly unlikely event that someone guesses correctly on all 42 bowl games. The highest possible score, then, would be 62 for Ben or for myself.

The Bowl Bash is only for those who won a week during the regular season. I don’t recall you winning a week during the regular season…. Did you?

This message is an appeal to whoever wins this year and decides to run things next year: please don’t have a scoring model where the championship game is worth exponentially more than all the other games… It creates a scenario in which most of the games don’t even really really matter. And what you end up with someone who wins the whole thing even though they didn’t get the majority of the games right but they just so happened to get that one game correctly and perhaps the semi-finals. They’ve been too many years where someone wins hands-down the majority of the games in the bowls but they still lose because they took a risk on the championship game and ended up getting that one game wrong.

And speaking of that… Next year will have the expanded playoff bracket. Compared to how the bowl games have gone for several years, it’ll look more like a March madness playoff bracket than anything we’ve seen before. So PLEASE don’t do the championship bowl pick like we’ve done and expect people to pick winners in games we don’t even know. And PLEASE be open to input and counsel and suggestions so we can have an enjoyable experience with the inaugural extended playoff bracket.

If you win it, Ben, you can run it how you like. I have gone with many people's suggestions, so your implication that I am not open to such is wide of the mark. I have run it the best way I know how. If you are taking this as seriously as you appear to be, then maybe you shouldn't turn down the opportunity to run it when you win, as you have in the past. This is supposed to be fun. Your complaints are taking most of the fun out of it for me. Have I really spoiled everyone's fun in this? Am I so very incompetent at doing this that it is more grating than gratifying? It seems to have gone fairly smoothly for the most part. I guess I was under a different impression than you.

Oops, sorry Willis, it was Spurge who has 7, and you have 4. Your names were right next to each other on my sheet, and I got 'em mixed. My apologies.
