What was your career before going into the pastorate? And what skills did you gain from it?

I am sure God does use various vocations given to pastors before they were called, in terms of personal sanctification and learning of various skills that may cross over to the pastorate in various degrees..

Just curious if any brethren are willing share their own experiences in this..

I was in restaurant management. It taught me a lot about dealing with people and how to perform administrative tasks.

Nurse and the military. Both skills serve me well now on the mission field.
