I won't post a link to the book on Amazon because the book cover consists of an image of Jesus.

That aside, has anyone here read it? Thoughts?

Christopher Hitchens likes it - but I'm not sure how much of a recommendation that is.

I was given it as a gift by my Grandparents. Have only read a few snippets, not enough to judge, but my Grandfather is a RE in the PCA and loves church history and thought it worthwhile enough to give it to me as a gift. Regarding the image of Christ on the front, it might be best to get the hardcover as the cover can be taken off.
