Which printer should I get?

I searched through the forums but didn't find this question recently discussed.

I need a printer, and I want to figure out which one will provide me the long run cheapest price per page for b/w text printing. I assume this means laser, not inkjet, although I have had success in the past with buying cheap inkjet ink on ebay.

Has anyone looked into this?

Samsung has a very good name for price. Check before you buy as some of the laser toner cartridges have a "plug" which allows a $10 refill!

You really need to study the price of ink cartridges. Lexmark gives away their printers and then charges you a king's ransom for ink. I've always been impressed with Canon for print quality and price of ink cartridges.
