Shedd's historical theology or dogmatic theology?

I only had a chance to browse his dogmatic theology seven years ago. How good is his historical theology? Which one is the better buy?

I believe both would be available online for perusal at Google Books or elsewhere. There's a preview of the Gomes edn. of "Dogmatic Theology" on Amazon as well.

Both are good but I prefer the Dogmatic Theology book. But why choose, get both!
