A previous thread reminded me of a question that has come up from time to time.

Is it permissible for a Christian to attend a marriage service of nonbelievers?
What about a service of professing Christians in an apostate church?
What about people who profess Christ but live consistently contrary lives?

Absolutely, caveated with the validity of the marriage if adultry has been an issue in the past. Even then this may be ok to attend depending on the circumstances.

This depends on the situation. Depending upon the validity of the union, are you willing to object when the minister asks if anyone knows of a reason why the two should not be joined?

95% of my relatives are Catholic. Sometimes (not to puff myself up though) I think part of why I attend Catholic weddings is so that there's at least *one* Christian witness to the marriage.
