He's good, but he looks like he has to use the restroom with his squirming around and all!

*mopes. sobs. breaks into uncontrollable bawling, because no one pays attention to his kicked-can and fallen countenance*

If I have to come over there young man, this belt will be applied with much force to your backside! And trust me, it will hurt you more then it hurts me!

I can picture Joshua wearing those shoes when he goes out on friday night with his buds.

Very good playing.

Wow - incredible...my mentor through my Masters was an organist, so I have a high appreciation for the "King of Instruments" - this gentleman is...well, wow...bravo!

Trills with his FEET!

Do they always use their feet like that? I thought it was played like a piano.

Organs have two or more manuals for the hands, and that is played somewhat like a piano (the technique is very different, though the set-up is similar). But then the organ also has a pedal-board for the feet. Organs have had pedal-boards since at least the 17th century.

That's pretty impressive.

I'll never forget the lady who used to play the organ at one church I served. The organ hand four sets of keys, the bass pedals, and dozens of stops. She was an older lady that seemed to barely be able to totter around - until she sat on the bench. She would kick off her shoes, close her eyes and let 'er rip! I never once saw her open her eyes once she began to play. (Unless we were singing hymns. Then she was very conscious of the song leader.) She would fly all over that organ, both hands, both feet, pulling stops, changing voices; it was incredible. When finished she would put on her shoes and totter away.

Wow - I've got an uncle that actually plays concerts here and in Holland (he doesn't have the pretty shoes - he plays in his socks) but I've never seen him try that one. I'll have to get him the sheet music and see what he can do - he used to sit under the organ and play songs from underneath; I thought that was impressive...

I've always wanted to play the organ. Now I realize how far away that dream really is! Incredible! :applause:

It's too bad organists are getting harder to find these days, as churches move to electronic keyboards and worship bands to draw the younger crowd, and fewer music majors chose to specialize in organ. Bawb mentioned Virgil Fox who I first heard when I bought his San Francisco light show album in the '70s that included this piece.

It is a pity that people don't play the organ much. I took up the organ after years on the piano, and it is a special challenge to play it correctly. Of course, you can cheat like I do and make it sound pretty good :)

Ol' Virgil sure could entertain. My first non-pop record album that I ever bought was Virgil Fox's "Bach Live at the Filmore East." I've been hooked on organ music ever since. I also gave a copy to my father and he was hooked for the rest of his life.

Rick Warren did a survey a few years ago asking people what kind of music they listen to in their cars. He said, "Not one person answered, organ music." My response was, and still is: "He didn't ask me."
