OK those of you who took the first poll - just how did you decide on left and right?

Did you even stop to ponder?

(This might be a good point to introduce presuppositional apologetics)

I would assume, naturally, that most people pictured themselves lying on their back and, if their spouse was to their right, they slept on the left (or vice versa). If I'm standing on the top or bottom of my bed (or sitting) then I am, by extension, not sleeping.

If I'm standing on the top or bottom of my bed (or sitting) then I am, by extension, not sleeping.

For a moment I thought this poll was a joke. I was wondering why one would be standing at the top or the bottom of the bed when you're supposed to be lying down on the bed to sleep.

I was thoroughly confused as to what was intended, but I think of it as which side of the bed do you approach to lie down. Since the headboard is against the wall, you approach from the foot, so this is the perspective I considered.
