Anyone have candidates for the best timeline of history? Creation, the Flood, the first civilizations, Babel, Israel in Egypt?

It's interesting how in even secular general histories of the World e.g. "The Times Illustrated History of the World", 4 or 5 pages are devoted to the beginning of the World and the evolution of Man, but when the real history - which takes up the bulk of the book - starts it starts in the Middle East circa(?) 7 or 8,000 BC, give or take a couple of thousand.

An interesting local cultural tidbit: Within living memory, there was a tradition of old men sitting around a fire at night (high altitude tropics are COLD), reciting their geneaologies from the present all the way back to Adam. This was passed on from generation to generation. I'm not sure how long it took them, but if you figure 30 names, on the average, per 1000 years, it would be feasible only in a young-earth setting.
