I want to download Wayne Grudem Systematic Theology from Itunes. Anybody listened to it. His view on prophecy and spiritual gifts concern me. But is the Systematic theology okay?

Calvinism Lite, as my pastor called it (even though he respects Grudem a lot). Grudem's book can be good as an intro. I'm reading it now, actually. But don't take everything he says too seriously.

If you like John Piper, then you will enjoy Grudem's systematic theology. If you have issues with Piper, then you will likely have the same issues with Grudem.

Grudem's ST is a good introductory text, but as noted above, he is not really Reformed except in his soteriology.

What I appreciate tremendously about his book is the accessibility with which he writes, the references/classifications for other ST's for further study, and his emphasis on the devotional/doxological nature of a doctrine at the end of each chapter (hymns & relevant Scripture to memorize, etc.)
