Anton Bruckner

Puritan Board Professor
Piano Concerto in E major by Moritz Moszkowski
Piano Concerto in g minor by Antonin Dvorak.

The first concerto by Moszkowski is a mature, elegiac work. If Mozart composed in the romantic era, he would have written his concerto like Moszkowski's. Its a very refreshing key, with a mini scherzo, giving it 4 movements than the standard 3.

The second concerto by Antonin Dvorak, is nothing short of an adventure. From the bold first movement which gives the impression of an awesome by safe display of the forces of nature. Kinda like watching a rain storm through your window.
The last movement is nothing short of a macho dance in the form of a rondo.

I highly recommend these pieces. You can hear samples at naxos.com.

Link to Dvorak's concerto sample. I wouldn't recommend this work by Naxos, but see if you can get the version played by Sviatoslav Richter. But for the sake of a sample, here is the naxos's sample.
