Good music.

The blues find their heritage in cries like that of Psalm 22 or Psalm 42. Whether consciously or not, they are part of the ache for deliverance that rises from a deeply fallen world. Gospel would be shallow if we did not also sing the blues.

I love sadder songs, or at least songs that are real, a lot of gospel and praise music is so "upbeat" (maybe not the right word) and that just isn't the case in life.
