Matthew Henry

I just cracked open his commentary on the Bible. I was told he also wrote books on prayer and spirituality. Has anyone read any? Any suggestions?

and he wrote a commentary on the shorter catechism.

His book on prayer is highly recommended. Also along with the book, check out this audio series by Stillwater RPC.

Matthew Henry is one of the best Puritan writers. His commentary on the Bible is par excellence. His works on prayer, the Shorter Catechism and daily communion with God (republished as "The Secret of Communion with God") are all very good, as is all of his works. I started a thread about Henry which is worth reading here and another in the quote forum on his wonderful quotable sayings. He is highly recommended.
