Yesterday marked my first battle with a kidney stone. I must say..."ouch"! I thank God for the skill he gives physicians and the proper use of pain relieving medications.
The doc told me that women describe it as a pain similar to childbirth. Now, I wouldn't go that far after seeing my own wife in labor. But, I definitely salute the brave men and women who have so courageously faced such a worthy adversary.
I am now home, waiting for my next battle, seeing as the CT scan only showed a 1/3 of progress through the ureter tube. The only good news? I am under orders to drink beer! (Don't worry brothers, sobriety is still the order of the day; mostly water)
