IRBS or CBTS to PhD? Anyone done it? Also, current students at CBTS know what Hebrew grammar they use?

Has anyone gone on from IRBS or CBTS to pursue a PhD?
My church has a partnership with IRBS and may possible have one with CBTS soon. Its a great deal, but I'm interested in pursuing a PhD. Wondering if anyone on here has graduated from either of these schools and successfully gone on to PhD studies.

Also, any current CBTS students who can tell me what Hebrew Grammar they used for Hebrew 1?

You probably want/need a ThM before a PhD. A high gpa may be a substitute. Speaking in general and not particularly regarding IRBS etc.

Probably not an issue. I'm enrolling soon in GPTS (also not state-accredited) and they told me moving to a PhD probably wouldn't be a problem at most schools (Netherlands is an exception they noted).

Looking at Wheaton and SBTS for example, the PhD requires a min 3.5 gpa for Masters.

It all depends on where you want to go for a PhD. If you want a conservative Reformed place, you can already narrow it down (PRTS, Westminster?). You should then enquire such institutions for more info and advice.

Def. do a ThM, no matter what. In fact, CBTS is starting a ThM program. But this will measure whether you have the chops for PhD level research.

Are you in seminary now? How do you know you are able to handle a PhD if you haven't even done a MDiv? Just curious.

I learned that recently at the Founders National Conference.
