As he was born in Gloucester, England, on Thursday, July 22, 1926, the Rev. Dr. J. I. Packer is 85 today.

Maybe I'll re-read his first book, "Fundamentalism" and the Word of God: Some Evangelical Principles (1958).

After the great popularity of Knowing God it did seem like most Reformed books, many evangelical books, and at least one highly objectionable book (Kreeft) had a blurb from Packer on the cover.
