On the cover of Matthew Henry's Method for Prayer there is a picture of a door. I can make out one of these words. What are the other words? Do you have any idea why these words were chosen?

I assume someone must own the book in order to answer the question.

When I look at it, it appears that it could say, "NO ACCESS." Then I feel like the insulted woman begging for mercy from Jesus. The door in the picture certainly looks heavy and immovable.

One of the words is definitely "ACCESS."

If there is a credit for the picture you might be able to find a larger or higher-resolution image of the same door - that might help to answer your question.

A lot of covers are stock photos. The words were probably not 'chosen' so much as 'happened to be there,' and the cover designer probably figured nobody could make them out anyway...
