So I got a deal on a nice paperback today . . .

It's brand-new, doesn't look like it's been read, but the spine is cracked. Looked like someone just opened it nice and wide until :::crunch:::. From the looks of it its stitched, but is there a way to fix this? Glue or tape or something? I just don't want it falling apart.

I've had several like that spiral bound by Kinkos and it works great, allowing the book to be open, clearly visible and without any stress on a binding. They charge about $4.00
