Peter, Paul & Mary

I had a music theory professor who plays live with Peter, Paul, and Mary whenever they come to the west coast.

Peter, Paul, and Mary are known to the general public, somewhat unfairly, for "Puff the Magic Dragon," "Leavin' on a Jet Plane," and "Where Have All the Flowers Gone?," and maybe one or two other songs. And, yes, they were stalwarts of Lefty politics in the '60s, etc.

However, they were major proponents of the folk music revival of the late '50s through the '60s and were (are) good singers and musicians. Their catalog is pretty deep (after more than 40 years of making records) and extensive. They actually should be better appreciated than they tend to be, in my opinion.
