It is almost impossible to not deal with the all-too-popular WordFaith teaching and their influence on so many. In regards to Faith, I hear them say faith is not something in our heads but in our hearts. To me this is a mystical faith with no object. As to discernment, they say the same; it is not something we process with our minds but is "a check in our spirit".

I understand the anti-intellectualism so aptly described of them, but although faith is not something solely that which is comprehended with our minds, what is a better response to those who will quote this type of "interpretatation" they've been given by these teachers?
