This is a needful discussion regarding Aquinas’ theology. I think it is important to not throw out Aquinas wholesale, but many are not noting the fact taht you can’t simply “snap off” Aquinas’ Doctrine of God and ignore that it is connected to some foundational ideas. The episode talks about the structure and, around 45 minutes starts to deal with current controversies around Aquinas in Evangelical circles. I particularly appreciate who Lane points out the Roman Catholic theology is a sort of “back door” mutualism.

The overview seemed fair. I didn't see anything I disagreed with. Of course, I'll have to listen to the whole thing. That dyadic structure was fairly standard in Christendom, though (at least in the West, anyway). Thomas simply formalized the processions/missions schemata. I just hope he doesn't try to tie in that structure with his claim of "theistic mutualism" in Aquinas.
