I am currently reading Bonhoeffer's Cost of Discipleship, having gotten through his Life Together, and part of his Ethics already. Throughout all my readings, I've been struck with how generally on target (often fabulously so) this man's theology is. Yet he seems to have been claimed by the liberal theological movement. I'm having difficulty seeing why.

My question is this: is there a generally accepted Reformed perspective on Bonhoeffer? Anyone out there familar with both Bonhoeffer's works and classic reformation thought care to weigh in on the issue?
