Please see sample in link. Translation looks solid. (Rhb can be trusted). Children's bible it is but it has not been simplified. If they repackaged it to not be a children's edition - it can be a NKJV alternative

I came across the following post today on Facebook and wanted to gather thoughts on how one would respond to the professors claims. The class is called Soc119 and its being taught at Penn State in which it claims that it helps students "experience critical thinking when students are encouraged to think about social issues in unexpected and fresh ways." Check out the video as its...
I was considering this morning how work relates to the Christian life. Consider this, can an unemployed Christian who works for the Lord be considered as a faithful witness? By "unemployed" I mean one who does not have a secular job but uses their time for the service of the Lord and others. Also, what about those who can't work a secular job and make a living, or cannot work due to illness or...
Hello all, this will be my first post here. I've already searched the forums for threads on this topic and found several that were helpful, but I'm hoping (for anyone who slogs through the wall of text below) that there's still helpful advice to be had.

"I am not speaking of all of you; I know whom I have chosen. But the Scripture will be fulfilled, ‘He who ate my bread has lifted his heel against me.’"
The problem is in psalm 41 verse 4 it says "I have sinned against...
Hello everyone. I have been a longtime lurker on this site and finally registered. I'm an active duty Marine Captain in Virginia, a 2xLiberty University alum (B.S. Biblical Studies and MATS) and currently an M.Div student at Southern. I am hoping to graduate next year and apply to a PhD program. Married with three kids (6,3,7mo). I look forward to interacting with you all.
So how do you respond to someone that is quick-tempered, easily irritated, angry, emotionally unselfcontrolled, etc? Both in the church and outside of it. To be honest, there are many people in my life who seem to display these characteristics on a regular basis.
My normal response is grace, mercy, gentleness, and love. But is there something I can say or do that will help change someone...
Driving on the left here in the UK I notice that when driving in a straight line the steering wheel is not perfectly aligned and looks as if you are turning slightly left. If it was one car only with the steering wheel turned slightly left I would assume the cars wheels were slightly misaligned but it seems to hold true regardless of which car I am driving.
I suspect that it is something...
