This article originally appeared on my blog (Here). “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:45) Service is not a uniquely Christian concept. The language of service is something engrained throughout society....

I was wondering if anyone here had any recommendations for a good Bible College to look into. I am hoping to start school in Spring 2020, and have been for the last six months looked into different institutions. I've narrowed it down a bit to a few schools, but want to take into consideration some colleges which others here may recommend.
Basically, I'm looking for an esteemed school...
If you love the Textus Receptus for what it is, you should not have a problem with this book. James White acknowledges the value of the Textus Receptus and even the King James Version at times. What is problematic is the cult-like character of some King James Only advocates.
White begins with a survey of textual history and transmission. It’s one thing to say “God providentially preserved...
I’ve been a member of opc since 2013, and it’s about as far as I go back in my familiarity (and appreciation) with Machen. But I don’t think I agree with Hart on his final analysis regarding Machen, Warfield, Old Princeton and evolution.... I think these guys should have been right there on the front line in the Scopes trial fighting tooth and nail against evolution and its implications........
My intent is not to start a debate on wether an offering “is” or “is not” an Element of worship, so please let’s not go there in this thread.
Let us assume that giving tithes in public worship “IS” an element.
In my congregation we pass the plate in both the morning and evening worship. Usually I place my family’s tithe in the plate every other Sunday (I am paid every 2 weeks) during the...
I'm not sure many of you know that our precious sister Anne (Cedarbay) has recently gone home to be with the Lord. She was such a good and kind friend to me, and prayed for me in my time of need. I was heartbroken that I didn't learn what was going on with her until just a few hours after she had passed away. She had come to...
Seven years ago I had a manual job working on factory lines. Pay was just enough for a single guy living at home because it demanded unskilled labor. Though, with such repetitive tasks I was able to think on spiritual things almost without interruption and still do good work. Matthew Henry observed that David's work as a shepherd was a blessing because the work gaved him much time to think...
It was six years between the publication of Volume 1 (2008) and Volume 2 (2014). It has now been five years since Volume 2 was published.
Will Volume 3 be coming out soon? And there's supposed to be a fourth volume after that (at 66, I should live so long!)
I've sent an email to Christian Focus Publications to see if they have any information. Does anyone on the board know anything about...
I've just been accepted into Puritan's MDiv program. Praise God! For those of you who know the school/studied there, what's your experience been of the piety, academics, and recognition of the seminary?
PS: I've been accepted into PRTS, RTS, and GPTS, and will be enrolling at Puritan beginning this Fall!
