I was listening to NPR yesterday and they were reviewing their latest album. If you love bluegrass you've probably heard of them.
I initially learned of them back around 2003 because the mother of the group is the sister of a friend I had in our OPC Church there so we tagged along to a concert in Fallbrook. Already they had a great following in the Bluegrass scene and were incredible even though the kids were much younger.
It's a family of 6. You can't really make out the dad playing the bass but you can see the others. They're Christians and some of their lyrics make that explicit.
Their latest album is phenomenal. The musicianship and harmony are beyond description.
