Unfortunately this one cuts off just a little early, I can't find a better copy of it:

Ah yes! Blue Moon of Kentucky, Bill Monroe and the Blue Grass Boys :applause:

My Dad used to sing that one every so often when he was just strumming his guitar.

Blue Moon of Kentucky is a classic. However, I can't imagine Paul McCartney or Tom Petty doing it. I haven't watched them so I can't say for sure (they may be excellent), but it seems to me it would be like trying to get a hound dog to howl on key.

I'll just stick with Bill Monroe instead.

You might be surprized. Not so much with McCartney but Petty does a pretty good job in my opinion.

I was at a very reformed conference recently when I discovered how much fun it is to sing this music! When I got home, my husband couldn't figure out what had gotten into me, especially considering where I had been!

That is terrific.

You may also enjoy Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, "He Lives in Me."

My sentiments also.

Maybe look at it like this... These gentlemen are maturing in their musical tastes. While there is only one original, and there are lots of immitators, immitation is the sincerest form of flattery.:graduate:

Man, I LOVE Ralph Stanley's voice - it has a raw, naturally mournful sound that just thrills me! :)
