“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”

Galatians 6:7

Those who are wise will reap the benefits of such wisdom. This biblical principle is profitable for Christians and non-Christians. The action we take today affect tomorrow. The opening words of the verse teach us the root cause of a careless method of decision making. Unwise decisions are made by those who are deceived and believe not the truth. Here the Apostle Paul is talking about spiritual decision, but this can also be applied to secular matters.

The principle that you will reap what you will sow is good news for those who sow righteousness, holiness and godliness. However, those who sow sinfulness and wickedness this principle is a frightening thought. It is a true saying that we cannot live with the Devil and expect God to pay the rent. Do not deceive yourself. You shall reap the harvest of your life.

Every choice has a consequence. If we make a godly decision the Lord will bless our faithfulness. As we start new year may we remember that our actions have consequence, our decisions affect the future and the lives we led today are signify our future.
