The good news of the gospel isn't moral self-improvement. The call for pastors and teachers is to proclaim Christ (Col. 1:28). All Scripture is able to make us wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus (2 Tim. 3:15). So, no matter what passage you are teaching, you aren't finished until you make clear how the passage points to and exalts Jesus.
