I've had conversations with someone recently who basically says the Law is worthless to us, in light of Christ's sacrifice. This person also says that circumcision is part of the "ceremonial law" done away with in Christ's death, but he maintains that ALL of the Law has been done away with.
Here are some of the statements he attacked me with:

brother... circumcision falls neither into moral, nor civil law... it is ceremonial... i.e. part of the sacrificial system...Â
I know you're argument... you think the sacrificial has been "fulfilled" in Christ, yet the moral and civil have not.... so "if" that's the case... the requirements of circumcision was fulfilled in Christ... and circumcisions... "transference" to baptism fails... don't worry... what you're thinking is only partly true... because  the entire law has been fulfilled in Christ (from circucision- for Christ was circumcised TO baptism.. for Christ was baptised)... even if you somehow convince me that circumcision is part of the moral law... it matters not... for the entire law died with Christ...
This is the err of the westminsterites... they think they can still fulfill the law (the precise law) which they can't... they cannot baptize into perfection, nor circumcise into perfection, by tying baptism to the law (in circumcision), you kill baptism... because the law is dead to Christians... Read Romans and Galatians and try again.
Man cannot make a covenant with God, because man has nothing to offer. It would be as if I could write a contract with Bill Gates to say he owes me $1 if i use IE. It's laughable. God must present the contract for me to accept. I cannot "covenant" my children into the kingdom, God must present them with the contract.
Christ did not come to covenant families... quite the opposite..
34"(AZ)Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35"For I came to (BA)SET A MAN AGAINST HIS FATHER, AND A DAUGHTER AGAINST HER MOTHER, AND A DAUGHTER-IN-LAW AGAINST HER MOTHER-IN-LAW;  36and (BB)A MAN'S ENEMIES WILL BE THE MEMBERS OF HIS HOUSEHOLD."  Mathew 10
Baptism counts as nothing. Circumcision died with the law when Christ died.Â
