This is kind of the whole nature vs. grace debate.

Does grace perfect nature? If so, what does that mean?
Does grace restore nature? If so, what does that mean?

Or does grace "grace" nature? If so, what does that mean?

1.) Nature was trashed by Adam's sin. So were we. The church is transformed by grace now. The universe, including human nature, will be transformed when Christ returns. The CR stuff about nature rolling back to an Edenic state is wrong.

2.) Nature can show you that Divine Providence exists and that you are a sinner according to the moral law. That's it. Everything else is the work of the Holy Spirit.

4.) When nature eats grace, you get Richard Dawkins. When grace eats nature, you get the Spanish Inquisition.

5.) The idea of grace "gracing" nature is the stuff of sacerdotalism, socialism and defective views of the Incarnation. Remember: Finitum non capax infiniti. The finite is not capable of the infinite.

Read Calvin's Institutes.
