Wear orange tomorrow!

Tomorrow is St. Patrick's day - am I crazy or is it true that Protestants wear orange on this day? I know its something about the flag...never understood what it was all about though...

The Protestant Irish wear Orange in protest to the Catholics who wear green. I think it has to do with William of Orange ascending the throne and defending Protestanism in England, but I'm not sure about that.
