Since God is Unique in all respects, how does that translate into the believer's ability to know Him without error and in full? Second, what things would you say are impornat to making suree we don't create an idol of the true God (have a god-in-a-box)--which is a facimile but not truely Him?

Of course this deals with John 17:3, Jer 9:23-24, Hos 6:6.

Thoughts?

I give you one verse that I think answers both of your questions:

2 Corinthians 4:6
For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
Soli Deo Gloria.

Positionally and effectively I totally agree. What about positionally--as it deals with our sanctification?

We are told to 'grow in grace and truth." In this case it would stand that there is more to knowing God in this life on earth than that verse reveals. Thoughts?
