Ok, so we've all seen the threads trying to identify the top ten books of all time. Great idea, but we all love books way to much to choose a measly ten as the best books ever. So I thought we might try something new and list the top 5 or 10 books that we've read this year. Here is my top 5 for 2008:

1. Life and Campaigns of Lieutenant General Thomas J. Stonewall Jackson; by: R.L. Dabney

2. Give Praise To God: A Vision for Reforming Worship; by: Ryken, Thomas, Duncan

3. Letter From A Christian Citizen; by: Douglas Wilson

4. Do Hard Things: A Teenage Rebellion Against Low expectations; by: Alex & Brett Harris

5. Culture Making: Recovering Our Creative Calling; by: Andy Crouch

Your turn. :D

1. Before Jerusalem Fell by Ken Gentry
2. Glorious Body of Christ by Kuiper
3. Biblical Theology By Vos
I read others but these were the most influential.

Is that your Calvinus Beer? Where did you find it?

1. Competent to Counsel by Jay Adams
2. Vanishing Conscience by John MacArthur Jr.
3. Principles of Conduct by John Murray
4. The Callings by Paul Helm
5. The Christian's Reasonable Service by Wilhelmus à Brakel

No, I'm afraid the beer isn't mine. I just heard about it and found the picture online. I thought it would be a fitting profile pic for the PB. It's a special kind of beer that can only be purchased in Geneva. I have no idea how it tastes but if it's got Calvin on the front it has to be good right? :cheers2:
