Trying to imagine what the Old Testament would be like if God had picked the Eskimos to be the chosen people. Heh.

Behold the Seal Pup of God!

Blubber and ice water for Communion.

Thou shalt not dash thy foot against an ice crevice?

Instead of stoning, execution would be done by ice blocks maybe.

Circumcision might have been trickier, too.

With all due respect, I think this kind of pointless speculation can quickly veer into sacrilege.

Phil, I don't think it's quite pointless and, of course, no disrespect for the Word of God is intended. The Old Testament would be a lot different had God picked some other place and people on the planet to do His work. To help make that point, I chose to use probably the most extreme example (except, maybe, for some tribe deep in the Amazonian jungle). No offense intended.

Apparently, it gives rise to some humor, as well (thanks, Pergy!).
