Thomas Boston vol.1 and 2

Digging into them now. They do not seem mentioned enough, or are they? I cannot think of any other author who writes beautifully these important articles of faith in a clear and concise manner. Even Brakel often has wordy discourses/polemics. Perhaps his 12 volumes isn’t accessible enough and most just know Fourfold state and crook in the lot. The reprint next year is going to be wonderful.

I agree with you; Thomas Boston is vastly underrated as a theologian. In truth, I never properly understood the covenant of grace until, with fresh eyes, I re-read Boston on the subject a few years ago.

Boston's Vol. 1 and 2 are my favorite Puritan works.
