“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.”
Matthew 13:45-46

Knowing God is of great value, far greater than anything this world affords today. I do not mean knowing thing about God. I mean knowing Him as your heavenly Father. If you have God you are rich, very rich indeed. The Bible says that through Christ’s poverty we have become rich (2 Cor 8.9). Christians are very wealthy, not in an earthly sense but in an eternal sense.

The Church, Christ’s bridge was bought at a price, the price of blood. Christ bled and died to purchase His beloved bride. He bled for her, He sought her, and He saved her. Earthly Kings have wealth, lands and riches. The wealth of Christ is vast beyond anything this world can give. Christ is the Kings of kings. If you bow before Him Christ will give you the riches of Heaven.

Christianity is not merely a philosophy for better living, but rather about how God has reconciled sinners to Himself. The Kingdom of Heaven is worth much more than silver, gold or the finest pearls. We need to be reconciled to God in order to enter Heaven.

1. Do you have a place in God’s Kingdom?
2. Do you regard Christ worthy of worship?
3. Do you realise that you are rich in Jesus?
