After all the recent discussions on the Sabbath I felt drawn to writing a short poem on the subject.
Any poetic criticism warmly welcomed.
That means that any criticism should be formed as a poem

Remember the Sabbath day
The first six days God made the earth
and all that dwells therein
behold it all was very good
for then there was no sin.
The Lord then made the seventh day
upon which he took rest
Behold it then was sanctified
and also it was blessed.
Manna came upon the ground
which would melt under the sun
six days shall they gather it
on the seventh there was none
For that day is the Sabbath
Holy rest unto the Lord
Prepare yourselves the day before
but this some still ignored
Abide ye every man
in his own place that day
resting with their families
that honour God they may
Remember now the Sabbath day
to keep it Holy we are told
this applies to one and all
not just days of old
In it thou shalt do no work
son, servant, stranger too
For God had spoken and did want
obedience anew
We all as God's dear people
fall short in every way
let us honour thy commands
we do thee humbly pray
