It was said of the Scottish reformers that:

The great importance of the history of Scottish worship from the Reformation (1560) lies in how Biblical it was, more so than most other traditions throughout Church history.

However, unless one is a specialist in this field, it can be hard to find convenient resources on this topic, especially in its details, until now.
