Just finished reading James Randi's book on Faith Healers. It makes for shocking reading - basically there are no examples of healing that stand up to examination. Worse the fraudulent methods used by evangelists were exposed.
I was also struck by the Jim Jones story on BBC 2 last night. I switched over just as he was claiming to heal someone who could not walk. Turns out it was one of his employees in make up.
This just goes to emphasise the cessationist position!
