I remember them when I originally dove deep into the alternative music scene in 1980-1981. Funny, until you mentioned them, I had forgotten all about them since around 1983. "Modern Romans" was the last I had heard from them, though I see they've done a lot since then.

Their sound is very indicative of the times, and a good example of the "new wave" sound of the early eighties... but, looking at their pictures, they look pretty tame, don't they?!?! :lol:

They are about as intimidating-looking as a shoe salesman or an insurance guy!!!

Fun music from the old days, though...
 
I have Let the Day Begin, but that's the only album of theirs that I'm familiar with. I really enjoy that one.

I am turned off, however, by Michael Been's role in The Last Temptation of Christ.
