The blessed man, the blessed lamb: Psalm 112 His righteousness endures forever

Full of splendor and majesty is the Lord's work,
and his righteousness endures forever.
So says Psalm 111 about the Lord,
and Psalm 112 echos that phrase double
only this time about the blessed man who's righteousness endures forever
In all of the Old Testament that phrase only occurs in Psalms 111 and 112
and conspicuously back to back
and both conspicuisly accrostic

The blessed man stands before the start of the Psalms for the Passover songs of redemption
(The Hallal Psalms, Psalms 113 though 118)
A fitting thought for the start of a new year

Acrostic psalm, the abc’s of the blessed man.
Blessed is the man who fears the Lord
Commandments are his great delight
Descendants will be mighty in the land;
Expect that the generation of the upright will be blessed.
Filled not empty, wealth and riches will be in his home, his righteousness endures forever,
Greatly enduring righteousness and his righteousness. These things will be.

He is gracious, merciful,
Integrity includes righteous.
(Joining with another blessed man Psalm, Psalm 112 bookend the hallal Psalms for the Passover and sacrifice of the Passover lamb
Keeping passover hallal psalms lead into Psalm 119, the other bookend.)
Light dawns in the darkness for the upright; These things are true.

Man, you who deal generously and lends, you invest in a future of well being
Never moved,
On top of this, conducts his affairs with justice.
Pervasively righteous
Quandary, never, in face of bad news
Remembered forever. Future hopes that will come to pass.

Steadfast, his heart is firm,
Trusting in the LORD.
Unmovable, His heart is steady; he will not be afraid,
Very sure, until he looks in triumph over his adversaries.
Will not throw in the towel, undeterred These things are true.

eXtra generous. He has distributed freely; he has given to the poor;
Yes, his righteousness endures forever;
Zealous to the finish, his horn is exalted in honor.

Angry wicked man will take notice of the horn of the blessed
Beastly reaction will ensue, tooth gnashing to come,
Crumbled hopes will follow, hopes in the worst sense of the word, prognosis: wicked will melt away
Desire of the wicked will perish, giving way to the desires of the blessed man These things will be

The desire of sin was to dysfunct relationships whether Cain's or Eve's. The desire of the lamb triumphs in redemption.
The blessed man's righteousness endures forever, both the righteousness he lives and the righteousness he gives
The righteousness of the blessed man a glimpse, echo and reflection of the righteousness of the blessed God
The blessed man also stands after the end of the Psalms for the Passover
A fitting thought for the end of an old year
Psalms 112 and 119, fitting bookends because the blessed man is the blessed lamb

2 Corinthians 9:8-10
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. As it is written,
“He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor;
his righteousness endures forever.”
He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness.
