Should I get Waltke's Hebrew Syntax?

I took Hebrew under van Pelt five years ago and used his Basics of Biblical Hebrew. I've worked through it twice and can read the Hebrew text with a lexicon with some difficulty, but not much. I saw Bruce Waltke's book on Hebrew Syntax advertised as an intermediate grammar. Is it worth getting?

No I don't think so. The book is specially designed if you only want to learn Hebrew syntax... it's the authoritative text for that.

If you're looking for a way to gradually get better at sight-reading Hebrew, I'd suggest "The Graded Reader" (by Van Pelt actually).

I have it, It is very challenging to use. I like "From Exegesis to Exposition" from Chisholm for intermediate Hebrew
