Richard of Saint Victor: The power of God excludes weakness

He is not a theologian I know that much about, and I have only looked through his book on the Trinity for some specific things, but I should probably read more of his writings. Off the top of my head, I do not recall Richard being quoted very often by the early Reformed - unlike Bernard of Clairvaux, who seems to get cited by almost everyone.

I like him, but I am not sure he was ever terribly popular. The approach to demonstrate by pure reason what is accepted on faith in an attempt to reach contemplation must have struck the Scripturally-oriented Reformed as rather odd.
