I recently bought 'Return of the King' by Vern Poythress. This book explains Revelation in a very short and easy to read way. Did anyone read this book? What is your opinion? Do you have suggestions about other books on the same subject?

Poythress refers to G.K. Beale who wrote 'The book of Revelation, a commentary on the Greek text'. Did anyone read this book? What is your opinion on it and is it a welcome addition to my library?

Thank you very much in advance

Return of the King is excellent. Beale's book is okay if you have a clear grasp of Greek and don't mind wading through hundreds of pages of technical details.

Grant Osbourne is very good ... less of a challenge to read than Beale but detailed also.

D A Carson is finishing a commentary on revelation which should be worth purchasing.

But probably my favourite is Triumph of the Lamb by Dennis E Johnson. Bit like Poythree only more detail.

Sometimes you are just in the MOOD when everything is cynical.

Meaning myself. Sorry, I watched Airplane last night and everything is punnier today.

Whose "line" is it anyway?
