During the writing of the thesis, Chad Van Dixhoorn invited Ferry to spend several days in the rare book room of the Cambridge library, for the
first time reading seventeenth century primary sources on this topic. He was even permitted to handle the actual minutes of the Westminster Assembly and read Van Dishoorn's transcription of them front to back during his research.
The chapter in The Law is not of Faith is a condensation of his eventual WTS 2009 dissertation, all 124 pages of it including an EXCELLENT bibliography on the topic.
