Relocated to Boise, Idaho

Hello everyone,

Asking for your prayers during our relocation to Boise, Idaho.

I've had to relocate from the San Francisco Bay Area to Boise, Idaho for work. I'm a bi-vo pastor and have pastores Spanish-speaking congregations in the past. Currently, due to my job I've had to relocate to Boise, ID. We said our goodbyes to our church where I served as an assistant pastor in San Jose, CA.

So far...things look great. I love the area and cost of living is an added bonus! We hope to start house hunting soon. My kids started their first day of school today (elementary school).

Ever since I started ministry...I've never been without weekly preaching responsibilities ministering to the Lord's church. I am now very anxious and would appreciate your prayers...as we'll need to find a solid congregation - and if the Lords wills...start a spanish ministry. So far...I've not been able to find any spanish speaking congregations in the area...they must be out there as from what I see in stats...Boise is at least 12% Hispanic...

Pastor Glenn Ferrell used to pastor an OPC church in Boise--Sovereign Redeemer Church. Its website does not appear active anymore, however.

I'm only about 6 1/2 hours north of you, but very occasionally I get down to Boise.

The River Christian Church is a Baptist church that is a part of my association. It is probably not Reformed, but will be on the conservative side of issues like homosexuality and infallibility.

Pastor Ferrell currently serves at 1st OPC in San Francisco; easier to reach him there.

A quick skim of the website didn't show anything that caused me to flinch.

They don't appear to have any work going on in Spanish.

Looks like there is a Sovereign Grace over in Nampa.

I don't see any OPC

Nine Marks also shows Meridian First Baptist http://mfbc.org/, and the Well in Gardenside http://www.thewellboise.com/ as possibilities.

You'd need to do due diligence with any of these, but they might serve as starting points for your investigation. I didn't see any of these with a Spanish language ministry.
