Question on Paedocommunion

Is there somehow a link to this practice and Auburn Avenue Theology/New Perspective etc.? Are there traditional Reformed Christians for the practice who repudiate the the theology of justification by works and faith? Does the belief in the practice of infant communion require that one hold to such views?

Someone please explain.

There is no connection...there may be some trends but just as an example- Steve Schlissel doesn't hold to paedocommunion and R.C. Sproul jr. who spoke against some of the teachings in the 2003 conference believes in paedocommunion and actually cracked a joke about it in his response...

Actually, there is a large connection. Wilkins, Wilson, Wright, and most of those who are visible in their support of Federal Vision and NPP are paedocommunionists, including Leithart, Horne, Jordan, and Sandlin.

Sproul Jr. is the exception. Covenant Christian Fellowship, which directly under the oversight of Schlissel's Messiah Congregation is also a visible practicing paedocommunionist church, so Schlissel at least does not consider it a harmful practice.
