Puritan Daily Meditation Devotional

    I would like a recommendation on a quality book containing daily meditations, preferably from a Puritan author.

    I know of Gurnall's Armour divided into daily portions, as well as the Spiritual Chemyst (I think it is).

    For my son I just bought "The Puritans: Daily Readings," edited by Randall Pederson. This looks to me like what you're looking for. It's excellent!

    There is also one by I D E Thomas, which we went through a few years back with some profit. He is also the author of a book of Puritan quotations.

    There are a whole series of 365 Days with Spurgeon books. They are primarily excerpts from sermons and quite edifying.
