“Therefore, all things, whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them,” which is a rule of general equity and is opposite to partiality and self-love, which undermines all the duties of the second table. And this is of a general and universal extent, to all persons and things, such as buying and selling; to duties between man and wife, neighbor and neighbor, master and servant, etc.
