Northern Ireland qualify for Euro 2016

It is hard to believe, but Northern Ireland have qualified for Euro 2016 in France. It is the first time they have qualified for a major tournament in 30 years:

Unfortunately more glorious failure for Scotland. We could be the only home nation not there!

Looks like everyone in the British Isles, but Scotland, has a good chance to make the tournament.

At least Scotland has its independence. Next summer we'll be all on our own.

Congratulations to Northern Ireland. They have played well consistently and deservedly top the section. There are missionaries in our church heading to Senegal and are currently in Paris studying French. Its quite clear they are there "for such a time as this."

Congratulations to Wales too who although technically have yet to qualify, I cannot see them failing at this stage. I am not quite sure if I can get round to congratulating the Republic just yet. It's still a bit raw and it might take a wee while.

It's not really in my DNA to congratulate England but I hope they enjoy their 10 day holiday in France next year. I must tell them not to bother bringing back any souvenirs from their trip.
