I bought it Friday and I have been listening to it non stop. This is arguably one of, if not the greatest piano trio ever written. I know, I know, a good case can be made for Mendelssohn, Saint Saens, Brahms and Dvorak, but this particular piano trio is something out of this world. It is lengthy, melodious, and powerful. There is never a dull moment. I guess I am saying this because I just got this cd, but I will say honestly, I am impressed. Tchaikovsky never really consistently impressed me with any of his works except his 6th symphony. His other works I can enjoy in part( a movement here and there) but never completely. But this piano trio has got me oohing and aahing.
